Quickstart: Creating a media player app (Windows Store apps using C#/VB/C++ and XAML)

This Quickstart explains how to create a basic media player app by using theMediaElement API. It shows you how to create basic transport controls, enable full-screen video playback, set up a slider control and connect it to the media position, and enable support for multiple audio tracks.

There won’t be much if any programming inspirations because, programming is everywhere, that video game you’re playing or that music player you’re using, so look around and find a program that you find cool and break it down into simple forms and try to recreate it. That is your Assignment / Project.

No Programming Tutorials This Week

Yep you read correctly, no programming tutorials this week as I can’t really find much on other coding languages apart from C / C++ / C#, so if anyone can hit me up and give me a few other languages to check out (would be sweet), but in the mean time I will be looking, for more programming languages (which is also why I delayed posting yesterday)

Over the course of sixteen posts, I will teach you what it takes to start developing for the iOS platform with approximately 15 different in-depth articles and tutorials.

.: I was trying to find complete tutorials like the ones above for Windows Phone OS and Blackberry OS. The two links are basically a course on each platform, that will take you from a novice to creating your first app for the platform. I think these courses will be very beneficial especially if you are now starting out and do not know anything about the platforms or their coding languages.
