So I am here giving heavy thought towards the reintroduction of the Reviews Category, mainly because of the new theme I took a trip down memory lane, plus in two – three months (around June) I will be finished with school for good, yep I am graduating, though I failed one course (Mathematics 2, “Calculus”) and believe me, I failed by a mile.

Anyway back to task at hand, I will be at home, nothing to do, and we all know most of what I would be doing is watching movies, designing and blogging. But then again I am pretty cautious as I remember, the reviews being A lot of work, and sometimes took weeks for me to finish, and normally would pile up after a while.

*Scratches chin and head* Really unsure, but one thing is for sure though if I do, I won’t start until May / June.

Oh and PS, all my old movie reviews are still up, all you have to do is do a little digging

Music Is What Feelings Sound Like

This is probably the best description that anyone can use to define me, you can tell the mood I am in by the music I listen to, and it is also why I am a music addict. But seriously you know when, you listen to a song and the lyrics basically describe everything that you are currently going through, it could be relationship problems, your finances or just random stress, for that 3-4 minutes all of it just disappears into the music, and you suddenly feel better.

The second / third day of another week depending on where u count the starting of the week from; Woke up early / late again depending on how you are looking at it, because I find 9 am kind of early to be leaving my sweet bed. I went out to find the house empty, I knew my sister had gone to school / work because she is a student nurse. My aunt had gone to driving lessons, and it was only my mom that was unaccounted for, but I wasn’t too concerned as I had everything I needed and if I needed to find her I could.

I checked and realized that the dogs had been fed so I grabbed my breakfast and went on the computer to see what was happening in the world. Nothing new was happening, people were killing each other, politicians were telling lies and there was still war and bombings in the middle east; again nothing new. I started thinking about my blog and how I would like it to be, I realized that the movies and music reviews weren’t even a passion for me as I mostly did it now because I had to.

I came to the conclusion that the journal posts kind of gave persons a view of my day to day life and was more or less keeping me sane and helping me with my “shyness” and the quotes were good as they speak to different persons who may need the words of encouragements to get them through the day. My design / gallery category was the whole reason behind the blog as it was a personal place where I could showcase my creations, more or less the “report card on the fridge” without the need to cut down trees.

It was a tough decision I was faced with, as to whether or not I should remove the reviews category, which could affect my blog for better or worse and was more or less a gamble. I decided to think it over before I make any hasty decision but like any idea I have, it would not go away or allow me to focus.

By this time it is already late in the afternoon, and I decided to do my blogging and post the tweet before starting to play video games. I took a break and had a bath before I came back and continue my gaming rampage as I was owning Need For Speed Underground 2, but my only problem was that it was running sluggish with the graphics pushed to its max but on low graphics the game is unappealing to play.

I played the game up until after 8 before I switched over to Halo: Combat Evolved, I had reached my favorite stage, where I get to drive the tank, my only peeve with it was that it took too long to reload but that’s where the machine gun came in handy. I played that up until I lost the stage and had to go back on foot to kill aliens. I came off the game for about 10 and again started thinking about what I should do.

I went in and took the computer with me, with the intentions of writing up today’s journal post before going to sleep, I ended up ditching that idea as I could not stop thinking about the decision and I just went to sleep for about 1am.

Ah sweet Saturday, I got up at around 9 and came out for breakfast, my mom told me that she wanted me to come out to the garden to help her dig for “Bush Yams” which are yams that grow wildly. After I got done eating breakfast I went out to her, and she was almost finished, mainly because her hand was “corning up” / bruising because of the digging and I did not know how to dig for the yams.

That got done with for close to 12, and we went back inside as she started cooking. I of course jumped online to check my emails and social networks, I check my movie place, and saw that Taken 2 was out in HD so I decided to make my Saturday a double feature night with Taken 1 and 2. The movies to a while to download, so I did some blogging before I started gaming.

The food finally finished, and not a moment too soon, as my belly had started rumbling. I was still gaming, so I took a while to go for my food even though I was hungry. I eventually got up and went for it, ate and went back to gaming, before I took a break after a friend messaged me. I checked my social networks again and I decided to just relax myself as my movies had finished downloading.

I still had a couple of Eddie Griffin videos on my computer, so I watched one of those, and I was laughing hysterically because it was very funny.

My mom called me to ask me if I wasn’t going to Youth Meeting, but when she had called me it was already 5 and the church was closed so I didn’t bother. I continued watching the video and soon it was close to 7, because I kept being interrupted by people.

I waited around and visited all of my social networks, I remembered I had not shared the quote for the day and did that. Soon it was 8, then 9: movie time. I wasted not time with anything as I had already fixed my lunch and had it waiting for me along with a drink. The first movie started and ended, then in between movies, I decided to wash my wares and go to the bathroom so I wont have to move again until the second movie ended.

The two movies had a combined time of over 3hrs and took me a couple of minutes past 12 before, I decided to go to bed after having a great Saturday.

Movie Summary:

Mike Lane is a thirty year old roofer by day, living in Tampa, Florida. At night he works as the star attraction of the Kings of Tampa, an all male group of strippers. Mike is ambitious and has no intention of being a stripper for the rest of his life, he wants to get out of stripping and start his dream furniture-making business, but his credit rating is making it impossible despite his substantial savings.

One night, Mike is followed by Adam, a teen-aged work-mate from Mike’s day job, to the club. Adam gets pushed into the group when one of the acts is unable to go on, and is called upon to strip; surprisingly he is a hit with the ladies, and Mike decides to take him under his wing and guide him through the business.

Adam introduces Mike to his sister Brooke, who has her reservations about her little brother becoming a stripper but eventually gets used to the idea. She and Mike become very close and Mike assures her that her brother is in safe hands. Adam however lets the success get to his head and becomes mixed in with the wrong crowd and “drops the ball” and threatens to jeopardize his sister’s relationship with Mike and Mike’s dreams as well, when Mike is called upon to get him out of the situation he got himself into.

Review

Movie is not bad to watch, thought it was kind of pointless to be honest.

Movie Summary:

Peter Parker is just like any other teen, he is struggling to figure out who he is and where he fits in. One night he finds a mysterious briefcase that was his father’s and he begins his quest to understand the reason behind his parent’s disappearance, which leads him to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, who was his father’s former partner. Peter manages to sneak off and gets himself bitten by one of their Genetically Modified Spiders before getting kicked out by his crush Gwen Stacy. He realizes that he has now gained “special abilities” but has no clue as to what to do with them, he studies the documents he found in the briefcase and eventually pays, Dr. Connors a visit at his home, where he explains who he is before giving him the formula solution that he has come up with.

After Peter’s uncle dies he takes on the persona of Spider-Man, originally out of revenge but eventually, he moves past that, which is around the time Dr. Connors has transformed himself into The Lizard. The two are now in each other’s paths as Spider-Man is fighting to protect the city from The Lizard’s attack, as they enter into an epic duel which will shape Spider-Man’s destiny to become the city’s hero.

Review

Even though they changed practically everything from the original spider-man, this one stays a little bit more in line with the comic book version as we see spider-man using a gadget to release the web instead of it coming from his wrists in the original. The new spider-man, isn’t all that different from the original spider-man as he still gets his but kicked by the bad guys. The special effects and other things though were amazing so I gave it good rating because you can’t really rate it based off the old spider-man. One thing to note though, if you have watched the old spider-man movies, this version will take some getting used to.

Overall Rating: 8/10
